Met a beautiful soul at the carnival yesterday and her name is Bonnie. Bonnie lives on skid row and doesn't have much but what she does have she's appreciative of. I waited in line with Bonnie to get a warm plate of food and she told me a little bit about her story. Once we sat down she took her first bite of food and it put a huge smile on her face, which made me smile because I know how happy food makes me too. She then asked me why I'm not eating and if I wanted anything to eat from her plate. I told her today wasn't about me it was about her. Bonnie doesn't have much but what she does have she was willing to share with me. Some ppl on skid row were hesitant to trust volunteers who were simply strangers to them at first but not Bonnie. Without knowing anything about me Bonnie trusted me with every step of the way yesterday. She welcomed me with open arms and for that I'm thankful. She made my day. Thank you Bonnie. And thank you @justinbaldoni for making this happen. #weloveyouskidrow #la ❤️🎪
