POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last year I had the extreme privilege of shadow directing episode six of Ryan Murphy’s new Netflix show the Politician that came out today w/ a seriously incredible cast ☺️ Was fun to be able to shot list the episode before and see what actually made it into the episode (couple photos of the process) in a genre of comedy that i really love. Big thank you to Tanase Popa, @mrrpmurphy for such special pre-pro / tone meeting experience, Gwyneth Horder-Payton for her generosity to share her wealth of deep directing knowledge, Tracy Merkle for always the good laughs & letting me pick her brain on script sup tips, Ned Martel, entire crew that was so generous and nice (as are all of RMTV sets) & @half.initiative 🙏 ありがとうございました‼️

Neither this role nor this story gets any easier to live through, but these gentlemen remain some of the finest actors I’ll ever have the pleasure of working with. Last day of principal photography— Los Angeles unit. NYC, we’re comin’ home! 📷: @sew_photo

I’m so grateful to get back to work with these wonderful men. This play inspired so much growth in me and I can’t wait to infuse this movie with the lessons I’ve learned from that growth. Thank you to Ryan, Joe, David and Ned for keeping the original company together. Y’all are magic! #Repost @mrrpmurphy with @get_repost

Last summer, THE BOYS IN THE BAND were on Broadway, breaking house records at The Booth. THIS summer, The Boys In the Band will be filming a Netflix movie event.
The incomparable Joe Mantello, who directed the Broadway revival, will direct the film adaptation. The Broadway cast of BOYS was so important to me, and as equally groundbreaking as Mart Crowley's seminal work. Everyone in the cast was out and proud...and feeling so blessed to mark the 50th anniversary of Mart's landmark play. The entire Broadway cast will reprise their roles in the film. I can't wait to be on set with Joe and Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Matt Bomer, Charlie Carver, Robin de Jesus, Tuc Watkins, Michael Benjamin Washington and Brian Hutchison. I will be producing the film with David Stone and Ned Martel. Look for THE BOYS on Netflix in 2020.

We went to Provincetown, carried ice and built Venice in a day. And loved every minute of it. @danminahan 💕❤️💕(Not pictured: excessive humidity and mosquito legs.) 🦀💥🍾💃🏻

Fantastic opening night...go see this now...and remember or learn what is was like for the LGBT community living in 1968...(swish, mary, sissy, faggot, fairy, queer)...we have advanced so much in 50 years...it was a long slow road...but now laws, rights, protections and even attitudes are being quickly rolled back...don’t let it happen again...we are under attack by the president and the administration...#votethemout . Don’t let them put us back in the closet. Bravo @nedmartel @mrrpmurphy @joe_mantello @boysbandbway #boysintheband
