Tonic

We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone in Manchester tonight, but first a reminder of a charity auction we are holding to raise money and awareness for Tonic Music For Mental Health.

Tickets are just £5 each (via the link in our bio) and the odds of winning one of our 8 prizes are pretty decent.

The winner of our first prize will receive one of the most beautiful Saint Etienne collectibles ever…. the original cross-stitched artwork by Heidi Houston Wiggs that was used for the sleeve of our 2025 single ‘Glad’. It’s a poignant artefact being offered in memory of Zac Robson with a signed certificate on the back. One lucky person is going to receive this and all proceeds go to a charity that is very close to our hearts, so please get involved.

Second prize is a set of 5 signed Etienne white label vinyl test pressings - details of which are at the same link in our bio.

Third prize is a super rare screen printed poster for our show at the Kazimier in Liverpool on May 24th 2012.

Lastly but not leastly 😊 there are 5 individual 4th prizes of signed posters for our September run of farewell UK and Ireland shows.

Buy your ticket today and support Tonic Music For Mental Health.

“I have known Richard O’Sullivan all my life so was very sad to hear the news yesterday that he is no longer with us.
He was close friends with my parents and one of my favourites growing up, he was funny, cheeky and kind.
He’s best known for starring in 70s sitcoms Man About The House and Robin’s Nest but I managed to persuade him to appear in our video for I Was Born On Christmas Day playing my dad. He decided to play it as a disgruntled father of the bride who’s not well pleased at me choosing to marry Tim Burgess!
He will be missed by all who knew him but I reckon he’s reunited somewhere with my dad and they’re having a laugh and a catch up. xx”

SAINT ETIENNE: TRAVEL EDITION 1990–2005 ✈️💼

Compilation/Greatest Hits album by @saintetienneofficial

You can trace the band's musical journey literally from their beginning up to 2005.
The compilation gives a good vibe and is perfect to listen to, whatever your mood.
It's dance, it's pop, it's indie, it's synth, and it's dream pop.
You can tell that the band was experimenting with sound and playing with lyrics, and overall, it was a very good recipe for them.

MY TOP 3 SONGS:
🥇Avenue
🥈Action
🥉Like a Motorway

HONOURABLE MENTIONS:
▶️He's on the Phone feat @etienne.daho

Stoned To Say The Least

“Possibly our first photo shoot from 1990 before Sarah joined the band but things were starting to happen. Bob looks good in these but I’m like what the hell’s going on - still haven’t quite perfected the blue steel look.”

Nothing Can Stop Us

“Me and Pete are thrilled to be briefly included in the new Kylie Netflix documentary, with our dear old mucker Ian Catt (who looks about 18 in the clip). Ah, to go back in time and write a couple more songs for 1993 Kyles!
I remember she kept nipping out of the studio to a payphone so she could call her boyfriend Lenny Kravitz. And I remember that she sang like a dream, every take was spot on.”
Bob Stanley - 23rd May 2026

Check out the three part ‘Kylie’ documentary on Netflix now.

Characters in this clip include Kylie, Bob, Pete, Ian Catt, arranger David Whittaker, engineer Danton Supple, Tom from DeConstruction and Angus.
