Slowbomb by @nenewrites is a sweet story of friendship, survival, and beating the odds. A reminder that your current circumstances don’t determine your future. The importance of having people believe in us before we are able to believe in ourselves. 🎯 Target Audience: Young Adults but I was able to appreciate the story at my big age. 📚🖤

These books had me in my feelings 😮‍💨📚 The whole time reading, I was rooting for them so bad. Real life, real choices — but that’s what made it real. #bookrecommendations #bookstagram #bookishcommunity

Sometimes I get mad at myself for not knowing about a book sooner. This is one of those books. I wish I could experience it for the first time all over again. This book follows a teen growing up in Slowbomb Housing Projects. We get to witness first hand how that environment has an affect on everyone who lives there. Brian is on a mission to make it out while his best friend Kenny is just trying to make something out of nothing. This story is real, raw, and these characters will stay with me forever. A 5⭐️ read for sure. Thank you @slowbombbyneenee for putting me on to your book!! This has become one of my favs 🤎
