Yesterday a friend messaged me that she saw these two books out at Heritage Halal Market in Atlanta. 😌

Whenever I feel contemplative 🤔 and I start to feel a certain way….. someone almost always msg me with something of encouragement!

This was truly nice to see and congrats to Sis Nena @neensncobooks …I’m so happy for her. Both of her books 📚 look so nice together!

I’m thankful 😌

During Ramadan we pause our usual interviews to share author readings.

We’re thankful to Nena Abdullah for joining us and reading What is Sawm? for the Islamic Library Association community. It means a lot to hear the book directly from the author, and we appreciate the time and care she put into our listeners.

May Allah reward her efforts and allow this reading to benefit every family who hears it this blessed month. 🤍

So….being a children’s book illustrator means being part of something truly special. 🌸 We help women share their stories and leave something behind for the next generation. Through our illustrations, we become a part of a child’s world, sometimes entertaining, sometimes educating. Some books we’ve illustrated the stories either open doors to new possibilities, while others reflect the reader’s own experiences like a mirror. It’s a blessing and a joy to do this work. 🌻 Thank you to every single person who has given us the opportunity to illustrate for them and thank you to those who leave reviews. Congrats to Author Nena on her books and I’m thankful you gave us this opportunity to illustrate your book @neensncobooks / @neens_2.0 😌 #childrensbookillustration #childrensbookillustrator #muslimillustration #muslimillustrator
