nervous surface. its felt spiritual. nervous surface accomplished everything tht i wanted. im blessed & privileged by the results from hard work. it’s been over 2 years. 2 albums, 22 songs, 2 tours. not sure ab shows, not counting. 2 is a great number - one of my favorites, actually. i’m still passionate ab this project & how fulfilling its felt to create/share. always will be! i started a solo project bc at the time i felt i had to. hard to explain. def wasn’t forcing myself to do it or rush through a process. i was overwhelmed with a desire to create! starting a solo project was on my bucket list for a long time, so i finally took the opportunity :D & im SO glad i did it! its become my lifeblood. nervous surface is a part of who i am. i wouldn’t trade it for anything! ALSO i hope everybody out there knows tht there’s no rule book 🙅 for making art! if u wanna make music or go travel & perform then just go fucking do it! the world needs more art! don’t wait for someone else, or some online platform ;) to tell ya whether or not ur ready. dont put it off til u have clout or feel safe to go on display. don’t be afraid to be creative & be urself. what would we do w/o these numbers? would we still feel so motivated to DIY w/o the fantasy of going viral, increasing our followers/monthly listeners, or reaching X amount of streams on a new release? spoiler alert: there’s no cookie-cutter way to be an artist OR a band regardless of the way the industry is changing. don’t let anybody tell u “ya gotta do xy&z first” or “u gotta do it *this way*” regardless of what ur doing & no matter who they are. they’re wrong & this project is living proof of tht :) i’m proud of what nervous surface has accomplished, but i don’t care what happens next. i’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities tht yall have helped me experience. so thanks a ton for supporting. it means a whole lot. i love nervous surface so much (& u guys) but for 2025 im takin it easy (nervy isn’t going anywhere tho). i’ll ttyl! pls be nice to each other & don’t tlk so much shit. this world is a cruel place & needs more love. email if u need me, it’s in the bio. love yall a lot. see ya in ‘25.✌️❤️
