It’s been since 2005 since I had my last glass blowing hot shop in County Fermanagh. After a couple years of slowly getting something together again, I spent the last week melting Waterford crystal waste glass and reforming it into elements for my sculptural works. Pleased enough with the experiments, and looking forward to making something of them in my ‘clean studio’ on Heir island this winter. 🥰 grateful to the kick in the arse inspiration achieved while supporting @garmezyglass and working alongside @neffel @cecetansel and @egonglass @camocagi_theglassfurnace in September… thanks for helping kickstart this new chapter for me!🙌 stoked there’s a new hot shop in Ireland, as they are more rare than hens teeth here! #glasssculpture #hotglassart #hotglassstudio #sculptureireland #fermanaghart

This week, ten year old me would be proud of how things are going.

@neffel and I traveled to Hell Creek, Wyoming to work with Dr. Fred (@paleo_lacombat) and his team @real.andrelujan @mrs.andrelujan @its_abi_time , helping dig up a Torosaurus skull!

Funny thing it felt exactly like being in the glass studio. Glassblowing and field paleontology have more in common than you’d think. Both are hot. Both wreck your body. Both only work because everyone around you is pulling just as hard. You don’t bond with a team over easy days.

So at the end of it, you do what you always do after a day like that. Pull into the local watering hole, grab a cold beer, a table, and spend the night talking about what the day gave you and the plan for tomorrow.

One of the last frames of the video is the team’s truck in a restaurant parking lot, skull sitting in the bed in plain sight. That shot says it all. That energy is going straight into the Titan Series. ❤️ @granada.gallery

What a crazy days in my studio! 🔥✨
A full house, a lot of energy, creative chaos, and the best group of people working together to bring this glass piece to life.

So many ideas, hands, laughs, and moments behind the scenes — this is what makes the magic happen. 💥
Glass is always better when created together.
