Happy 7 year Anniversary to me and my JIu Jitsu. October 1, 2019 was when I officially started Jiu Jitsu… I had a trial session, but October 1 was when the money started coming out LOL. Thank you to my professor @adrianvasquez84 of @balance_mma_duarte for fostering an amazing culture of jiu jitsu for me and my teammates. You’ve changed my live and I will be forever grateful. I believe that jiu jitsu will forever be in my life. I’ve made so many friends through this community and love every moment of it. OSS! To continued commitment!! Thank you Felipe for the rolls today

One day? Or day one.

It started with an empty room and an idea.
Then we built. We worked. We believed.

Today, New Ground is more than a place to train.
It’s a community. And we’re just getting started.

This is New Ground. 🥋

If you train, you know exactly how this works.

Tag that teammate who would still show up to class anyway. 👇

When face a very annoying guard player who craves to wrap around your legs to destroy them you have to be consistent and creative.

In this match Felipe consistently avoided leg entanglements that his opponent tried to force on him. Until.. he had a perfect opportunity to score a takedown and win the match.

Notice that he literally went flying to reach for the leg 😂

The Granby Roll is a must-have movement for every grappler.

✅ Escape
✅ Recover guard
✅ Prevent back takes
✅ Improve scrambles

Practice it consistently and level up your game. 🥋
