An autobiography with collision detection.

Every portfolio is an autobiography that has agreed not to say so. Negative Space withdraws the agreement. The founders’ work, from Brashy Studios through Intelligence Matters, is laid down as terrain and handed to you with a movement key. The genre is the Künstlerroman, ported: the artist’s novel with the reader’s legs attached.
The title is a car. The founder smashed it, and the wreck hangs in the main gallery as evidence. Collision detection is the routine an engine runs so that a body cannot pass through a wall. It is also an accurate description of a career. You hit things, and the geometry holds.
