Why poke holes? Well, a stuffed challah (like my sun dried tomato and basil challah) often times has trapped air that may affect the texture, shape, and consistency of the final rise and bake. And just like that my life chapter in Hawaii has come to an end. 😌

What I expected moving to Hawaii was the beautiful sights, the great food, and the feeling of endless sun on my skin, and I got all of that.

What I didn’t expect were the amazing people and lifelong friends I would be make in such a short but sweet time.

I know I sound like a broken record in some of my posts but I need to say again - it’s so easy with all of the issues and day to day strife we have to take some of the best moments we have for granted. I’d like to think I didn’t take a single sunny day or laughter filled conversation for granted during my time in Hawaii. And if even just one person reading this reaches out to a best friend or a loved one to tell them how much they love them, or just appreciated the fact they woke up today with food in the fridge and roof over their heads, then that would be swell. ❤️

Thank you Hawaii for showing me that beauty doesn’t just come from the place itself, but from the friends and moments you can make along the sand-filled, stunning tropical journey.

I love you Hawaii and here’s to coming back one day.

Aloha & Mahalo for visiting my baking page!

I started my self-taught baking journey in 2020 during COVID lockdowns, with practically zero background and experience. Little by little, my confidence in the kitchen was elevated to something of a passion. Since then I’ve been able to learn recipes and techniques from many different shows and books by experts I adore and lookup to.

Now, with the support of friends and family, I’ve been encouraged to take the next steps in an effort to share my passion with all of you — by starting my own cottage sale business! This is in hopes of getting my name out there, and eventually open our own space, where me and my family can thrive and grow within our community.

Furthermore, I want to create a space where I can grow digitally, to make a name for myself outside of Hawaiʻi. A short term goal is to make ripples that can turn into waves, and I know I can make that happen, but only with your support.

I wish for the chance to connect soon and that you’ll have the opportunity to savor some of my baked treats!

I always get a little self reflective around my birthday. Not just on the passing of time, but on the little moments that make it all so meaningful and the people that I am just so consistently lucky to meet. The people I can belly laugh with, the ones who I can have shared silence, deep talks, and maybe most importantly - spontaneous, unexpected joy. This year, I’m holding onto the small things tighter and counting my blessings through vigor because you even though they are just moments they are the patchwork of a most beautiful and often fleeting life.

If you have yet to give me a birthday present this year (😜) can you give me the gift of calling someone you love today and just giving them a reminder that even if life and it’s moments are fleeting, the love you have for them is everlasting.
