ten years ago we met in the XXL Magazine trenches, each of us coming into the fold from a totally different background and upbringing, not to mention our conflicting tastes in hip-hop. we wrote stories and did stupid things together, argued and laughed with each other, and all left the company within months. that should’ve been that, a funny blip in an otherwise long and winding journey. the rhythm of life says that we shouldn’t have stayed in touch… shouldn’t still be friends… but here we are, ten years later, each growing in our independent directions but coming together when it matters most, sharing warm embraces on cold nights. shout out to harris publications. wish u were here @ecm_lp @jaekicho @adamfleischer

@neil__mb, you have such a special brilliance for storytelling. I’m so impressed with your ability to preserve the complexity and candor of Gucci’s life story. Thank you for giving me grace while reading this slowly amidst the whirlwind of us. I’m so proud of you. I’m so proud to love you.
