Post-Globetrotters airport rueda in Toulouse: Ignoring our flight being announced, ignoring sleep deprivation and passing the call. But it was great fun 😁

We had fun today exploring a few switch and confusión concepts!

If you want more in-depth practise of a wide range of switch concepts, well then we have a 6 week progressive course starting on 14th October. Suitable even for those new to switch 😉

For some of us dancing Rueda de Casino is more than a fun party game, it's a reason to travel and connect other Rueda de Casino dancers worldwide!

This year's SalsaNor Rueda Congress was in Tromsø in the Arctic Circle, and what an experience it was!

If you want to learn the skills to help you join a rueda festival then we have classes in Rueda de Casino, whatever your level 🕺💃🏻🌍

A couple of weeks ago I taught something a bit different for me: Trio Caliente! We had great fun, despite Myrtle 👻 getting lost a few times 😂

We started with the basics of how to dance in throuples, before applying this to a rueda structure. We learnt how to get in and out of the structure (where having a follower cantante kept people on their toes) and finally we applied some Trio Alterna ideas developed by @dofelbuns and @berntrygg and taught to me by @tina_dreyer_salsa and @dorthepalle to maximise our fun and chaos!

Well done everyone for achieving quite a technical structure!

I love Son, but I haven't felt ready to teach it yes. This week's heatwave was just the push I needed to plan a Rueda de Son class!

At well over 30C still in the evening, and high humidity, we channelled Havana here in Bournemouth, and appreciated the excuse to dance with fans 😂 Thank you to my crazy dancers who braved the heat to try something different!

What do you think? Should I do more one-off themed sessions? Let me know in the comments 🤔

There was an idea in my head that I'd wanted to try for a while, but needed a lot of experienced rueda dancers. Fortunately at RuedX UK there were enough people crazy enough to give this a go! (Some were press-ganged 🤣)

If you line up two Avenidas then they can simultaneously be considered both Avenida and Linea Moderna: Not only can the transitions between pequeñas for both structures be used, but also the direction of the street can flip!

I have since had the pleasure to meet the talented Clément and Marianne from MC Dance in Lyon who came up with this concept before me and named it Rueda Ciudad: I can't wait to see where they take this structure 🥰

We're heading to RuedX UK very soon and secret preparations are underway 🤫 Can you guess what we're bringing?

Throwback to RuedX Scandinavia last month and all of the amazing rueda friends I reconnected with, and the fantastic new friends I made: It's the community that makes rueda so special 🥰

I can't wait to dance with you all again soon 🫶

When you're hanging out with a group of friends and you have an idea you want to test... They had no idea what they were signing up for 🤣

I was set a challenge by Klas to change between a regular rueda and a ghost rueda. Of course my "regular" rueda was a switch rueda! So we danced with Espantos: Whether this was ghosts or a terror for being in the role, who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️👻 But it caused a lot of laughter 😂

After RuedX Scandinavia we were exploring Copenhagen and found a great spot for a rueda. The problem was that we were only 5 people.

What started as a suggestion of having a ghost dancer quickly escalated to having 5 ghosts. And what talented ghosts they were: Dancing switch and espejo with ease. Just like their human counterparts (nearly 😂)

This video is heavily edited not because of mistakes, but because large parts of the video are us laughing too much to call anything as we bounced between cantantes 🤣

I highly recommend #GhostRueda for #PerfectlyUnperfectDancing
