For #NeilFelipp San Pedro (@neilfelipp) and #NatalyaLagdameo (@nlagdameo), “Cabinets of Curiosities” goes beyond the craft they are known for, bringing together jewelry, minaudières, and objects from their studios. “We’re going beyond the craft that people know me for. We’re going further into it,” Neil says, as the experience explores basketry, ceramics, and 3D technology. Known for his intricate mythology-inspired clutches seen anywhere from local galas to Hollywood’s red carpet, #NeilFelipp San Pedro still holds on to the bag that could have started it all: a kopit or woven rattan purse from the Cordilleras, which belonged to his mother in high school. Now marking the 16th year of his eponymous brand, the Cebuano designer continues to refine and expand the process behind his signature minaudières. Together with a team of Cebu artisans, he returns to his love of story, family, and home, always aiming to platform Philippine crafts in a global setting. “That’s how I want to push the brand as we move forward,” he tells Vogue. “It is part of our identity. It is what creates soft power.
