🍽️🤳🤤 documentation from Athena Kokoronis and her Domestic Performance Agency operating a 24 hour diner with Lydia Rodrigues out of DPA’s prospect heights studio. Wow! Few tables. Nothing but good aromas and a green light outside to hint of the special zone within. Inside, an evolving menu (pork after midnight) and consistently high levels of humor, improvisation, and generosity. I went Saturday night with friends after seeing Liturgy perform at Saint Vitus and before that Ikue Mori, Charmaine Lee, and Zeena Parkins via The Stone at Shift. 🤩 The only possible food experience that could allow me to adequately digest such stirring musics? Za’atar matzoh ball soup, spanakopita, lasagna, pound cake, Abraço coffee, crêpe Suzette. Such a treat! The next day I had to walk back over to the diner near the end of its run for grapefruit and poached eggs and grits ~~ plus the joy of lighting the first Hanukah candles with diner regulars Jeff and Zeena! 🔥💓 #dream #diner #domesticperformanceagency #food #menu #music #poetry #knots #thyme #glitch #candles #proof
