Release & Surrender⁣
🌱I release feelings of disappointment⁣
🌱I release our childfree 40th birthday trip to #hamiltonisland ⁣
🌱Planned because I couldn't face celebrating without my family who are overseas and I haven't seen for four years⁣
🌱I release the tears that bubble up when I think of the time that my daughter is missing out on with her grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins ⁣
🌱I release a sense of feeling imprisoned in the country I fell in love with and that I made home ⁣
🌱I release the frustration that we aren't being told to move, hydrate, take vitamin D and zinc and eat healthily⁣
🌱I release the heartbreak of pouring love and energy into my small business, seeing it grow and momentum build, to have it struck down. Again and again. ⁣
I release the frustration of the negative impact that lockdowns and masks have on physical and mental health⁣
🌱I release the resentment towards the coercion, manipulation & censorship that is being played out around us ⁣
🌱I release the frustration that our leaders make decisions based on money and politics, rather than our health and wellbeing ⁣
⁣
🌊I surrender to the waves of unknown.⁣
🌊I surrender to the multitude of opinions, judgement and division.⁣
🌊I surrender to it all.⁣
⁣
And I cling onto the glimmer of hope within my soul; the flame of light that keeps being blown out & each time I diligently reignite; determined to keep glowing and growing through the darkness ✨
⁣
Last week's classes were on Hope, now we use yoga as a form of self-care. To release and surrender through this BS, I need all the self care I can get. So I figure you do too x⁣
⁣
PS. Get some cilantro in your life - the oil of release and surrender.

Week 2 of finals is about to begin. Though of course weeks like this often come with a roller coaster of emotions and events. So it’s no real surprise that Vetiver has been coming up as my oil for support lately. .
Vetiver is an important oil for calming yet can also promote deep concentration. It’s known for its assistance specifically in ADHD/ADD. It has already been used in a number of studies to improve classroom performance. .
More so, the emotional benefits of Vetiver help provide guidance and self awareness. Often we don’t even realize the the need for escape from these tendencies. .
For me, it’s a reminder of what being grounded feels like. With of course... a little extra study aide to help during finals week. #doterra #essentialoils #holistichealth #finalsweek #gradschoollife #vetiver #rooted
