Only a few herringbone rings left.

I remember falling in love with herringbone chain years ago. It was nostalgic and intricate. So turning it into a ring was like the scratching a creative itch. Although time moves along and trends change. I think there’s more to explore here. #jewelrydesign #jewelryinspo #rings #jewelrystyling

Color grading work, before and after.

Color plays a significant role in shaping how people will perceive a story. In the case of “Make You Feel,” the intention was to create scenes that feel rich, yet grounded in relatability. It’s super important to me that people connect with my work on an emotional level.

Can you see the difference? 👩🏾‍💻

Appreciate you @sage.ve for helping bring this vision to life. Thank you @iamltd on the edit.

In filmmaking, I obsess over color grading. I’m very passionate about depicting Black people imperfectly perfect.

During the “Make You Feel” post-production process I watched the film several times with no sound just to see if it was still visually stimulating + interesting. If it wasn’t, I called my colorist with notes. We went through a lot of versions till we landed on looks we loved.

Thank you @sage.ve for the collaboration.

the goal from jump was always to Make You Feel.

if you missed the screenings you’ll have to stay tuned for the film festival takeover, but here’s a little something to hold you over until then.

In storytelling, it’s not my place to define love or connection. But, my goal is to make you believe in it.

A beautiful story, with beautiful people. Inside and out.

Back in December, we curated a special space at Neuehouse Hollywood for the LA premiere of Make You Feel, the latest short film I produced with @starrpowerent

Creating this film was a reminder of the beauty that can come from our darkest moments & sharing it was a testament to the deeply healing & connective powers of vulnerability.

I have nothing but gratitude for all the familiar faces & new friends who came out to support, show love & experience our film in LA & I can’t wait to share it with all my family, friends & colleagues here in NY next week 🫶🏽

Being a creative is very vulnerable, but I’m always gonna put myself out there. I’m not afraid to do that 🧡

The name of my latest project is called, “Make You Feel.” Last month in LA I screened it at NeueHouse Hollywood for a private group. It was dope.

Thank you to all my homies who came through and showed love. Thank you to all my homies that couldn’t make it, but sent positive energy through flowers and thoughtful voice notes and texts. I felt it.

Next, I’m about to throw a private screening in Brooklyn. Then, let it hit the film festival circuit. We’ll see what happens.
