Summer is my favorite time of year to host and here’s why:
1.The party is usually outside by our pool so that means no mess inside 😉
2. Red, white and blue theme Carrie’s itself all the way to Labor Day so I can get a big bang for my buck 💰 💵 💰
3. Whenever I use these weather proof placemats the cleanup is as simple as rinsing them in the sink
4. Peoples expectations just naturally lower in the summer for a pool party.
🥤Paper cups- totally acceptable bc using find
china
🌭Hot dogs and chips every time you come over
instead of preparing a lavish meal
🏃🏼‍➡️Kids running around the yard not needing much

Summer is just more laid back and fun so it’s fun to mix and match with your decorating too!

What’s your go-to summer activity?!

Finding balance is a challenge for me- balance in both my paintings and balance in life (ie motherhood/wifehood/Work/friends). So I decided to work on this series today. It requires energy & movement- physical movement & visual movement- it also challenges me to find a deep sense of balance against negative space....That, and my mom is being very demanding about wanting a piece from this series for her beach house #WillPaintForBabysitting #LoveMyMom
