This shoot was bound to happen, the way I’ve been seeing Nelson step out these days is insane. I stay telling him he’s got the flyest fits. If you really know Nelson though you’ll know that we got to the money even during this photoshoot. I can confidently say this brother made me do 1000+ push ups. Not only that but Nelson is a downtown legend if you were a kid and you were hooping you were looking up to the St Mikes legend, my brother is also for the community consistently showing up for the youth whenever and wherever. So this link up was long overdue

There’s something special about mentorship & how I got to this point is also a science I’m trying to wrap my head around. I’m accustomed to being the youngest in the room learning from older people with more wisdom than me, so the sudden flip was new to me. I had to step out of the comfortability that I’ve known for so long. Truthfully I had no idea what I was doing or if I had the answers for my youth mentee, but everything happens in divine timing. I had so much more to share than what I even knew and it served as a reminder to check in with myself more often cause only you have the answers for your own life. Big love to kickback for empowering the Youth and instilling confidence across all of us, Peace ❤️

Let’s go! Summer is still sizzling and we have a banger for you today! Danilo Djuricic. A 6’8” from Brampton, Ontario, and Serbian and Montenegrin descent joins us as his Brampton squad is in the CEBL finals!

Once choosing hoops Danilo chose to attend St. Michael’s College School in Toronto, where he was ranked among the top players in Canada’s Class of 2017, before committing to Harvard. Over three seasons with the Crimson (2017–2020), he developed into a steady frontcourt contributor, posting a career-high 20 points against Rhode Island as a sophomore. His senior season was wiped out when the Ivy League canceled its 2020–21 season due to COVID-19, so he used his final year of eligibility to transfer to Santa Clara in 2021.

He turned pro in 2022, signing with BC Brno in the Czech NBL, and has spent multiple seasons splitting time between Europe and the CEBL’s Scarborough Shooting Stars, re-signing with both organizations more than once. On the international stage, he represented Canada at the U16 Americas Championship (silver), the U17 World Championship, and the gold-medal-winning U19 World Cup team in 2017, where he averaged 10.4 points and 4.7 rebounds a game and led the squad in threes made.

Beyond basketball, Djuricic has spoken openly about facing testicular cancer while simultaneously trying to build a pro career — framing it as part of a broader conversation about planning for life after sport. That dual focus — competing at a high level while thinking ahead to what comes next — seems to be a recurring thread in how he talks about his journey, which is exactly why you don’t want to miss this Episode!

This mercury retrograde forced me to face myself in ways that were necessary, I’m so grateful for the woman I came out as on the other side.

Fear no longer lives here, in this lifetime I get to chase after all my dreams. I get to live a life centered in joy as I actively chase it in all of the little pockets its made available to me, fearlessly🩷

My legacy gets to be one of joy because that is the active choice I make daily in my interaction with myself and the world around me.

I hope you too are able to understand the importance that chasing joy has in our liberation.
