Things have been a little slow on the paid jobs front so I've been finishing my new desk - replacing the one I made about 7 years ago. I couldn't bring myself to make any permanent structural changes, so the desktop is a removable "lid". I traced the model # on the sewing machine and discovered it is a 1960 "heavy duty" model from Sears. It certainly IS very heavy 😁! It also has gorgeous bent plywood drawers 😍. Someone in the past (well, pre-me) used what looks like an excessive amount of glue to fix in the long legs so they were stained in situ.

Good morning all! Why the TV - minus the actual TV bit - you ask? Because Mr Erik @nelsonrepurposing has been working his magic on a beat up 1960 Philco tv - Cool Chassis no less 😁! - to turn it into the world's coolest printer cabinet for my living room!!! It's not quite in my possession yet but doesn't it look incredible?! If you don't already follow @nelsonrepurposing you need to! He does amazing repurposing on vintage TVs that would probably just be fit for scrap. He's great to work with, letting me pick legs, fabric, colors etc. Thanks Erik!!
