Celebrating Michael Jackson’s birthday at BK ❤️ MJ in Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn. A @officialspikelee joint presented by @jumpman23, with the incredible @djspinna taking us through 7 hours of Michael Jackson. Amazing set 👏🏽

25,000 people came together in Brooklyn for Michael. The energy was crazy.

Michael Jackson was actually the first concert I ever saw. In 1992, when I was 11 years old, my dad took my sister and me to see the Dangerous Tour at the Olympic Stadium in Munich. I’ll never forget it. That show completely blew my mind and, looking back, probably planted one of the first seeds in me wanting to become a performer.

The concert opened with “Jam,” and even back then, before I knew anything about turntablism, those scratch sounds caught my ear. Years later, scratching became my life.

And on a more personal note, it still feels weird living moments like this without Pumma. We were always going out together, and yesterday I was missing the fuck out of her and wishing I could share this moment with her. ❤️

So yeah, this one hit a little different.

Happy Birthday @michaeljackson 🎂

Thank you @officialspikelee, @djspinna, @jumpman23 and everyone who made this happen.
