What a way to wrap up the World Prematurity Week!

It was a privilege to be invited to deliver a keynote speech at the 5th International Conference on Pediatrics and Neonatology in Paris. Such an honour to speak about premature births in Nigeria the challenges we face and the way forward.

I had the pleasure of meeting several incredible doctors who delivered outstanding presentations as well.

Children are our future, and we must do all we can, collectively, to ensure they live to their full potential.

Dear Expectant Mothers,

Prevention is always better than cure! Protect yourself and your baby by taking proactive steps to reduce the risk of premature labour.

1️⃣ Register for antenatal care as soon as you confirm your pregnancy.

2️⃣ Avoid substance abuse—your baby’s health depends on it.

3️⃣ Stay active with safe exercises recommended by your doctor.

4️⃣ Maintain a nutritious, well-balanced diet.

5️⃣ Prioritize healthier meal choices to support your baby’s development.

6️⃣ Manage stress and prioritize mental well-being.

7️⃣ If you feel unwell, seek medical attention immediately.

Your journey to a healthy pregnancy starts with informed choices. Take care of yourself, and give your baby the best start in life!
