It’s been an emotional ride personally reflecting back on these last 20 years in Vancouver, wondering where all the time has gone.

There’s nothing but gratitude for everything I’ve experienced here, but I’d be lying if I said there weren’t moments where I questioned whether I’d accomplished enough, or if I was where I thought I’d be at this point in my life.

But looking back, I’m reminded that not everything meaningful can be measured by achievements or milestones.

Sometimes it’s the people we’ve met, the connections we’ve made, the lives we’ve touched, and the memories we’ve created along the way.

Maybe the lesson was never about getting to where I thought I’d be, but learning to appreciate everything that brought me here.

SOUTH AFRICA!!!! 🇿🇦

It’s truly wild how music that I make right here in my home studio can travel the world and move people in places I haven’t even been to yet!!

This week me and my friends @sejo.ilaw & @neondreams released our song SUNDAY MORNING and the song is currently playing on a whole heap of radio stations across SOUTH AFRICA!!!! And no, I have not been there….yet!

Some context, about 5 years ago, Neon Dreams had a song take off in South Africa. They went over to connect with the people embracing their music, fell in love with the country, and have been splitting their time between Halifax and Cape Town ever since. Fast forward to this year, we make a record that sits somewhere between Afro House and Melodic House. With Frank already in South Africa for release week, it was only right that he bring the song to radio there first. And YOH, the love we’ve been getting already has been INCREDIBLE!

Even though the song literally just came out, at least 8 different radio stations across South Africa are already playing it and we’re currently #36 on a Top 40 Radio Chart down there!! Crazy!!
