I’m sure most of you here love hearing the stories of how your inspiring idols came to be. Well @charlieputh is probably one of my favourite and most inspiring songwriters this last couple of years, and I was listening to my new favourite podcast, @andthewriteris, which has the BEST interview with him about his journey. During the interview he mentioned a session when he was starting off, where he was in the room with a big time writer @thejuliefrost and his nerves prevented him from coming up with any ideas in the session. After an hour and a half she suggests getting a milkshake and whilst they were out, Charlie Puth gets the idea for what was to become his debut single ‘Marvin Gaye’. I’m always a believer in finishing a song idea through to the end, no matter how good, but sometimes stopping one idea really is the best thing to do! It certainly worked for Charlie Puth. I don’t really know what else I want to say with this, but I just thought it was a cool and inspiring story to say, don’t worry if things don’t come to you today, because the ideas may come at the most random times! ❤️
