New York Watch Week isn't only about the big fairs. Last night, Gotham Watch Club (@gothamwatchclub) hosted an intimate evening with Grandeur (@grandeur) in Brooklyn, giving collectors the chance to spend some real time with a brand that takes a decidedly unconventional approach to contemporary watchmaking. Grandeur's catalog is full of pieces that are difficult to fully appreciate from a spec sheet alone, from unusual displays and materials to tourbillons and other complications. Getting them in hand, speaking directly with the people behind the watches, and seeing how other collectors react to them is part of what makes smaller gatherings like this so worthwhile.
