When you’re the parent of a child with autism, you spend so much time researching. Trying to figure out what might be right for your child. That’s why I’ve always felt it was important to share our journey with stem cell therapy.

For the boys’ third round of stem cells, we’ve decided to go to Neorgana. They’ve been working in regenerative medicine for over twelve years, and their medical director is a pediatrician who sits on the Scientific Advisory Board of the company behind Dr. Mari Dezawa’s MUSE cell technology.

For our first two rounds of stem cell therapy, we used mesenchymal stem cells, or MSCs. But while researching Neorgana, I started learning about something called Dezawa MUSE cells. They’re a specific population of cells identified through research led by Professor Mari Dezawa in Japan. These cells are identified by a marker called SSEA-3, and what makes them particularly interesting is how they respond to signals released by injured or stressed tissue.

Laboratory and early clinical research suggests that MUSE cells can respond to those signals, migrate toward areas of injury, and participate in tissue repair. Researchers are also studying their ability to develop into different cell types and interact with the immune system.

I had a video call with Neorgana and really appreciated how they walked me through the biology, the science, and the reasoning behind their approach.

Neorgana offers intranasal administration of Dezawa MUSE cells. Intranasal basically means administering the cells through the nose rather than through an IV. Researchers have been exploring the pathways that connect the nasal cavity and the central nervous system. It’s still an area being studied, and we don’t yet know how effectively MUSE cells can reach the brain through this method.

July 2026 vs. October 2026

We are undoubtedly starting to see the changes we’ve been hoping and praying for following Sofia’s Cytotron + Dezawa MUSE cell therapies this past July in Mexico.

Same girl. Same fight. A different chapter in her journey.

The difference in her movement is something we can hardly put into words. Before treatment, her movement was so limited. Now, it feels like a switch has been flipped, and we’re seeing so much more movement. Our focus is helping her turn that movement into purposeful, functional skills and allow her to regulate her body to gain control and confidence.

Every movement matters. Every little shift gives us something to build on. And every second of this reminds us why we keep showing up, believing, and fighting for Sofia’s potential.

We know we still have so much work ahead, and we can’t predict what tomorrow will bring. But we will never stop celebrating how far she’s come or believing in what may still be possible.

One movement. One moment. One miracle at a time.

Look at you, Sofia. JUST LOOK AT YOU.🙌🏻

We believe in miracles. We believe in YOU.

It was so special to finally meet @omarnovelomedina in person, someone who has played such an important part in Lily’s journey and in the progress we’ve seen since her MUSE cell treatment.

What strikes me most about Omar isn’t just his knowledge and passion for MUSE cells, it’s how genuinely he cares about the people and families he works with. He gets to know you, listens, tailors the approach to the individual and continues to check in long after treatment. I’m also fairly convinced this man never sleeps 😂

The way he speaks about his work tells you everything. He genuinely wants to help people and give families more possibilities. And I’m so excited that he and @neorgana are now bringing MUSE cells to @hope_amc here in Dubai, giving more families the opportunity to access this treatment closer to home.

Omar, thank you for everything you’ve done for our Lily, for answering my endless questions and for being such a genuinely good human. We are so grateful to have you in her corner. 💛
