Exactly a year ago today…August 1, 2025

I’ve kept this raw, unedited super 8 footage from GD60 (the 60 year anniversary of the Grateful Dead) in the vault. It was a hard, beautiful weekend for me. Heavy in ways I still can’t fully explain. I felt all of it. These images aren’t just documentation. They’re personal.

I wasn’t just filming a celebration. I was searching for something. Something deep. Something I felt I’d lost. And somehow I believed I might find it there.

What I found was something bigger than myself…a community of people carrying memories, stories, love and a shared language written in music. Faces I’d never met before. Friends I’d meet along the way. All connected by the same songs, the same history, the same feeling.

Maybe that’s what keeps me coming back. Not because I have the answers but because this music has a way of reminding me that nothing truly disappears. That connection can still be found. That something lost can still be brought back to life.

Thank you for letting me capture you on celluloid. I’m GRATEFUL for this journey, for the memories and for all the beautiful souls I’ve met along the way. 🙏

Happy Birthday, Jerry ♥️⚡🌹
We miss you, Bobby.
