🛠️ Custom 1:12 Loading Dock Diorama – Part 4
For action figure collectors, toy photographers, ACBA creators, and diorama builders, this custom 1:12 scale loading dock diorama enters one of the most exciting stages of the build—the painting process. Watch as simple XPS foam and EVA foam begin transforming into a realistic industrial loading dock through priming, base coating, layered colour application, concrete textures, and weathering techniques.

Designed as a cinematic backdrop for action figure displays, toy photography, and ACBA photography, this commission focuses on creating authentic industrial architecture, realistic concrete surfaces, custom terrain, and immersive world-building. Every layer of paint adds depth, character, and realism, bringing the miniature warehouse environment one step closer to completion.

The next stage will focus on advanced weathering, rust effects, grime, industrial signage, and final detailing to create a realistic loading dock that's ready for Marvel Legends, DC Multiverse, G.I. Joe, and other 1:12 scale action figure collections.

💬 Which painting technique makes the biggest difference—priming, base coating, dry brushing, or weathering?

🦇 Gotham City Rooftop Diorama – Final Reveal

For Batman action figure collectors, toy photographers, ACBA creators, and diorama builders, this is the final reveal of my custom Gotham City rooftop display diorama inspired by DC Comics, Arkham City, Arkhamverse concept art, and the iconic neo-gothic architecture that defines Batman's world.

Built primarily from XPS foam and EVA foam, this 1:12 scale miniature environment has been brought to life through priming, base coating, over-brushing, dry brushing, weathering, edge highlights, dirt, grime, moss effects, debris, and tinted window details. Every layer was designed to create a more realistic and atmospheric action figure display for toy photography, ACBA photography, and cinematic storytelling scenes.

The goal of this project was to transform simple materials into a Gotham City rooftop diorama that captures the dark mood and architectural character of Batman's world while providing a versatile backdrop for DC Comics action figures, action figure displays, and dynamic toy photography setups.

From foam crafting and custom terrain building to painting, detailing, weathering, and world-building, this project has been an incredible journey from raw materials to a fully realized miniature environment.

💬 Which detail brings the rooftop to life the most: the weathering, moss, debris, tinted windows, or gothic architecture?

New BTAS wave / Montoya BAF (with a good amount of accessories that would have qualified it as its own release (see final photo). Additional note: Red suit Robin is a nice variant.
