A big thanks to @maaketgent for hosting our make-sessions.

Yesterday we welcomed our 3 Designers in Residence Kortrijk 2026 💚
Sergio Pinilla López (ES, NL) @gio0o0o0o0
@floor.berkhout (NL)
Oleksandr Sirous (UKR) @sirousalex

Through this programme, Designregio Kortrijk and @nerdlab9000 aim to give designers the opportunity to experiment freely and conduct critical research. At the same time, they are exploring new ways of making design and digital culture accessible to a wide audience.

During their residency from 07.09 - 05.12.26 they will develop an experimental project situated at the intersection of design, technology, and society, with a public presentation during @wonder_festival & @mutation.be

~ Sergio Pinilla López (Spain/Netherlands), also known as Gio Pi, is a designer and researcher. They study how technology influences our identity and the way we experience the world.

~ Floor Berkhout (Netherlands) is an artist and researcher. She explores how digital technologies can be made more understandable and accessible to everyone. In doing so, she uses textiles and weaving techniques as tools.

~ Oleksandr Sirous (Ukraine) works at the intersection of technology, nature and politics. He investigates how digital systems are linked to social and ecological crises.

Amai, gisteren was leuk. Overmorgen staan we in Kortrijk in Het Textielhuis. #vab #band #kortrijk #vrijdag
