The First Night Pouch is a silvery, iridescent, foil cutie. It’s embroidered with symbols related to Frigg who is associated with the first night of Yule, or Mother’s Night. A night to celebrate our mothers and grandmothers. I used mistletoe, holly, a distaff (for holding wool for spinning) and keys in the embroidered holiday wreath.

There are spots to hold six bottles of polish or other similarly sized vessels and the lining is heavy duty, water resistant rip-stop nylon.

This bag closes with two multichrome star zipper pulls.

Edge coating isn’t my favorite part of sewing vinyl but it gives such a good finish that I can’t skip it.

A few days late on this last prompt of The Lunar Collab - a rare Blood Moon in March 🔴✨
March's full Moon is often known as the Worm Moon in the Northern Hemisphere because it traditionally marks the time of year when earthworms start to wriggle about and emerge as the soil warms up in spring.
However, it is also sometimes referred to as the Crust Moon, the Crow Comes Back Moon or the Sore Eyes Moon, which refers to the blinding light of the Sun reflecting off the mountain snow.

During a total lunar eclipse, Earth blocks most of the Sun's light from reaching the Moon. The remaining light that does reach the Moon is filtered through Earth's atmosphere, which scatters shorter wavelengths and allows red and orange tones to pass through. The effect is often described as looking like all of Earth's sunrises and sunsets are projected onto the Moon -- creating the dramatic "blood moon" appearance.

I was so excited last night/this morning (3 a.m. ish) to get up and go frolic (limited as my frolicking ability is) under the full blood moon as it was eclipsing. Very exciting stuff indeed. For this month’s lunar collaboration, I created a large blood moon surrounded by a forest of branches.

MOON Before Yule aka Cold Moon, Long Night Moon, Drift Clearing Moon, Frost Exploding Moon, Moon of the Popping Trees, Hoar Frost Moon, Snow Moon, Winter Maker Moon, Moon When the Deer shed their antlers, Little Spirit Moon.

Sometimes a mani just pops into my head and I get the urge to do it right away. The landscape seems to be screaming from my nails and I really like it. It's interesting to try different things.
