No we’re actually shooting a mayonnaise commercial!

Mascot made by @maydwellmascots and modelled by Nerida 😏

These sandwich ingredients just needed some last minute adjustments for the actors in Vancouver so we jumped in, but the suits were all made by the talented folks over at Maydwell in Toronto!

That’s unbelievable!

We worked with @circleproductions on this ad for @Icotyde_us - a new psoriasis treatment pill. The client wanted us to show how severe a flare up of plaque psoriasis can really get- and we think we delivered! There were a couple of versions shot before a final look and actor were decided upon so we got to apply this multiple times.

CAVE(WO)MEN! We loved making these prosthetics for this @sap shoot, and in such a speedy turnaround. Thanks to all the fantastic artists who helped make this happen. Cool to see a pro AI ad, being made practically. Let’s do more of these!

We build sets.
This one was very exciting! Building a set for @theateroftheunaligned and helping them immerse even more for their youtube channel and their game nights. How could we not?

Ai did not take over the creation of our Robot for @archspireofficial and their newest music video. We designed, sculpted and created this robot from the ground up.
Here are some more behind the scene pictures of the Phrygian Dominator coming to life!
Don’t forget to check it out in their video “The Vessel”.

The Phrygian Dominator! Our badass robot was over 8 foot tall and took 3 artists to puppeteer. He is fully articulated from head to toe, with a secret buzzsaw appendage!⚙️

If you haven’t seen @Archspireofficial latest music video ‘The Vessel’, do yourself a favour and go watch it on YouTube now!

Meet Nerida. One of the founders of Empress FX.

Nerida’s path into Makeup FX started in Australia, her art quickly grew into something much bigger than a single specialty. Rather than staying in one lane, she’s built her career by doing a bit of everything - designing, sculpting, mould making, painting, hair punching, makeup application, sewing—whatever the job calls for, she’s in it.

Since relocating to BC, she has contributed to a range of standout productions, including Shogun, The Stand and The Grudge.
