Photos from Warda, the gala show for the 2nd Adelaide Middle Eastern Dance Festival. It was a vibrant showcase of talent with dancers from Adelaide, Darwin, and Melbourne, joined by the breathtaking Rose from Perth. The night was brought to life with incredible music from Adelaide’s own Habib Boutros, Charlie Yarak, and Morgan Taubert ✨

What a fantastic night! Laughter, great conversations, heavenly baklava, and a little shopping spree to top it off! Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow for Day 2 of the workshops! 💃

Official photos from One Night in Istanbul! 🌙✨

A huge thank you to our exceptionally talented photographer @serkankirbaci! Check out our Facebook for more.

Our guests included people from all over South Australia and interstate. Honorary guests included the Greek Consul General Ms Alexandra Theodoropoulou, the President of the Turkish Association of South Australia Ms Berna Kardeş, the Honorary President of the Turkish Association of South Australia Ms Tanya Kaplan and the President of the Brazilian Association of South Australia Mr Ranielson Santana.

A special thanks goes to our spectacular interstate dancers Emily Rogers and Ruby and Ella of The Zarina Sisters for coming to Adelaide and mesmerising us with their artistry! Tony - our Lebanese drummer with the infectious smile and beautiful vibes - it was such a pleasure working with you! And of course, our stunning Adelaide dancers Keke, Adalia and Jo. Oh, and me 😂

Our legendary stage managers Helen and Michelle ❤️❤️ What WOULD we do without you?!

Lastly, a massive thanks goes to everyone who supported the show, either by coming along, helping backstage and with promotions. Putting on a big show like this is no easy feat and it could not have happened without your support.

Tonight we farewelled our last term of dance for 2020. Despite COVID related disruptions to our classes, our beginner and intermediate students performed their dances for each other with joy and fervour. We also had the amazing Vanessa of Velvet Henna adorn us with her henna designs, got to eat delicious food that everyone brought to share and see some of Kaliopi Eleni's latest dance wear creations! We wish everyone an awesome new year with much health, peace and love. And of course, belly dance!
