Well… 3 wins later and she only came in 3rd, but what a ride it was. I’m truly grateful for the experience to compete alongside some pretty talented and some classically trained singers. Denver has a lot of talented people in its midst and it was just an honor to be able to sing for the judges and the beautiful patrons at @tradedenver . Pipes was definitely a challenge, and I truly just tried to do the best I could do to put on a good show for the crowd. I learned a lot, and I took every critique they gave me and pushed myself to apply it to the next week. Despite the results, I’m really proud of what I showed on stage, I’m touched by the love and support from my friends, family, Maryoke crew and the friendly faces I got to entertain every week. I got to meet some incredible new people and so many new opportunities have opened up thanks to this little singing competition. I’m forever grateful to Trade for giving us the space to do something like this! The queer live singing community truly needs more spaces to show off our art.

For now, i’m putting myself on some vocal rest until my concert with the Denver Feminist Chorus on May 30th!
I hope to see #TEAMCOUNTESS at our DFC show! 😘

Signing off,
The Countess.
