🚨 LIMITED SHOULDER ROTATION? LET’S LOOK AT THE NERVOUS SYSTEM. 🧠⚡️

She came in with limited shoulder internal rotation — her range of motion stopped around parallel.

After a mini-session using Direct Currents, we retested her movement… and look at the difference! 👀🙌

✨ Improved range of motion
✨ A change you can SEE
✨ A different approach to movement and performance

Your body’s movement isn’t just about muscles and joints. Your nervous system plays a critical role in how you move, coordinate, and perform.

At Precision Neuro Therapy, we focus on identifying movement limitations and using targeted neuro-based interventions to help your body move more efficiently.

🔥 This was just a mini-session!

Imagine what we could explore with a full evaluation and personalized treatment plan.

For my direct current owners! Or anyone in the Chicagoland area that is looking to level up‼️🫡

When you are placing pads on muscles that refer to eachother like this, you can also work through movements with contractions or tinker with super-slows with your delivery at a low output power💯

October is National Physical Therapy Month, and we’re celebrating the tools, techniques, and dedicated care that help our patients move better and feel stronger.
At Core Performance Physical Therapy, we’re always looking for ways to enhance your recovery. NerveOTX is one of the tools our therapists can incorporate into a therapeutic exercise program to support muscle activation and help patients work toward their movement and strength goals.
Because physical therapy is about more than treating pain. It’s about helping you get back to doing what you love.
Here’s to the people, progress, and possibilities that make physical therapy so impactful.

If you are dealing with any oblique issues‼️

What I just sent over to a friend who is currently dealing with something. Thought this could help anyone struggling with this being that as pitchers we are major rotators🫡

God bless.

⚡ Not your typical e-stim. ⚡

🧠 Direct Current Neuro Therapy with NerveOTX talks to the nervous system, not just the muscle. We use it to:
🔍 Find where the body is compensating
💪 Wake up muscles that have gone quiet
🔄 Rebuild clean movement patterns under load

Here we are working with @donnykingbjj @donnykingfitness 🏆 IBJJF Master 5 - World Champion, Pan Champion, International-Open Champion on getting his strength back on the ground.

Sensory integration plays an important role in restoring proprioception, coordination, balance, and efficient movement patterns following surgery.

Some of the tools I utilize to support recovery include:

⚡ Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM): Supports pain management and recovery through low-level electrical stimulation. @ FSM

⚡ Nerve OTX: Focuses on neuromuscular activation, sensory awareness, and movement re-education. @nerveotx

🔄 Rezzimax: Provides mechanical stimulation to enhance sensory input and proprioceptive awareness. @rezzimaxpaintuner

🔴 Laser Therapy: Uses light energy to support tissue repair and help manage inflammation. @avantlasers

“Why is my physical therapist adding @NerveOTX to my exercises?”

You’re already doing your exercises, working on your strength, and putting in the effort during your rehab. So why add another treatment?

NerveOTX can provide additional neuromuscular stimulation to complement your therapeutic exercise program and support the connection between your nervous system and muscles.

But what does that actually mean for your recovery? Here are 7 reasons your PT may be using NerveOTX 👇

1. Improve Muscle Activation
NerveOTX can help stimulate muscles that may be difficult to activate after an injury, surgery, or period of inactivity.

2. Support the Brain-Muscle Connection
Electrical stimulation provides additional neuromuscular input that can support communication between your nervous system and muscles.

3. Support Nerve Recovery
Research suggests that electrical stimulation may support motor and sensory recovery following certain peripheral nerve injuries.

4. Maintain Muscle Function
When pain or injury limits your ability to move normally, electrical stimulation can provide an additional stimulus to help maintain muscle activity.

5. Complement Your PT Exercises
NerveOTX can be incorporated alongside therapeutic exercise, mobility work, and hands-on treatment to support your overall rehabilitation program.

6. Support Strength & Physical Function
Research on electrical stimulation has shown potential improvements in muscle strength, muscle size, and physical function when used appropriately.

7. Add Another Tool to Your Recovery
NerveOTX is a non-invasive treatment that can be personalized to complement your existing physical therapy and recovery plan.

Not all e-stim is created equal. ⚡️

For this young athlete with scoliosis, we’re using Direct Current (DC) during seated rows to help facilitate recruitment of the rhomboids and other scapular stabilizers...the muscles we want working to improve scapular control and reduce unwanted winging.

So what makes DC different from traditional Russian stimulation?

Russian stim is typically designed to create a strong, generalized muscle contraction through a pulsed electrical current. Direct current allows us to be much more INTENTIONAL with where and how we facilitate muscle activation, making it a useful tool when we’re trying to target specific musculature and retrain movement patterns.

Here, the goal isn’t to let the stimulation do the work.
It’s to pair the stimulation with an active rowing movement so the athlete learns what proper recruitment feels like, and then progressively owns that movement without the stimulation.

⚡️ Stim + movement + repetition = better neuromuscular education.

For our athletes, we’re always looking beyond the symptom and asking: How do we teach the body to move better?
