Everyone calls her a cheer coach.
NeSheila Washington built an operating system.
Since 2021, WSSU Powerhouse has performed alongside topcats_nfl on an NFL sideline, taken the floor at the NBA HBCU Classic, appeared in Ciara's "J.U.M.P.," signed a national NIL deal with champion, partnered with blackgirlvitamins as a full program and posted a team GPA of 3.11.

Every HBCU has traditions people celebrate. Fewer people stop to ask who built them, who protected them, and who raised the standard until excellence became ordinary. Those are the stories that deserve to be archived. Because institutions are not remembered for moments they are remembered for the people who made those moments repeatable.

As a Horn$ member, I’m honored to once again have the opportunity to design and manufacture the official team jacket for Winston-Salem State University’s Powerhouse of Red & White. Thank you, Coach Washington, for trusting @SoleFoodBrand with your program’s tradition and legacy.

For the Powerhouse,it’s the standard.

It may have taken me a bit to recover, but Winston-Salem State University 2025 HOMECOMING did not disappoint!

I made it through cheering the first half of the football game with my WSSU-Cheer Alumni #CheerPhi…without pulling or hurting anything 😂, hugged the necks of so many college friends, (especially my old roomies), and enjoyed my friends trying to jog my memory about people they swore I once knew (iykyk).

It’s awesome to see the growth, impact, and reach that my #HBCU has made since my graduation oh so long ago…just made my heart smile and had me wishing that I returned more frequently! Who knows, I may pop back up next year for my 25yr reunion!

🎶 H-O-MEC-O-M-ING It’ HOMECOMING Y’All, It’s HOMECOMING Y’all! 🎶

WSSU Homecoming is here, and I can’t believe that I’ve decided to once again join my fellow Alumni WSSU CheerPhi crew on the track during the game this year!!

Reminiscing on my cheerleading days at Winston-Salem State University has me oh so excited for this weekend, although my body may defy me. Robert Mills says I betta not break anything…and I’m in alignment with that sentiment for sure!

I can’t wait to see all of our CheerPhi RAMily!
