Three babies in three years and I’ve learned a thing or two about what baby gear is actually worth buying. 😂

One thing I’d skip? The bassinet!

We went straight to a mini crib this time, and I wish I’d done it with all three babies. Ours is a Nestig we scored on Facebook Marketplace because mama loves a good deal. 😂

Less baby gear, less money spent on things they outgrow in approximately 37 seconds, and one less thing to store!

Now, did he actually sleep in it every night? That’s between me and the Lord. 🤣 Don’t cancel me.

One thing about our home.... It’s going to be quiet!
Mornings look a little different now then they did a few months ago but I wouldn’t change any second of them! 🫶🏽 #diml #maternityleave #motherhood #firsttimemom #postpartum @babybrezza @nestig @pipettebaby @lovevery @nespressousa

Just a mom trying to keep up with the mess. 🧺🤍

Come reset Nixon’s room with me! Between the toys, laundry, restocking drawers, and everything else that somehow piles up, there’s always something that needs to be done. 😂

Some days the house is clean, some days it looks like a tornado came through, and most days we’re somewhere in between.

Just sharing a little piece of our very ordinary, sometimes chaotic life. Because I think we could all use a little more real life on here. 🤍

If your house looks lived in too, I think we’ll get along just fine. 🫶🏼

Winnie’s nursery is ready for him ♥️ a project that I put my whole heart into the last few months.. god bless @jstgld for putting up with my incredibly specific requests. We couldn’t be more excited for our family to grow!

Now just need baby boy!

Books and memories from our trips and loved ones

Teeniest crib

Felt mobile I sewed and made

I silently stood here so many times, picturing our lil baby boy crawling around on this rug

Justin’s vintage wall clock I repainted to be black and white

I have about 35 other layouts I tried before hanging up lol

I painted all the matte boards to match the color scheme

Sculpted and painted these air dry clay letters

Painted the room on easily the hottest weekend of the year 🤪

Vintage sports photographs but you already know we had to represent Chicago royalty 🐻⬇️

The saga of choosing the perfect paint color

My original inspiration collage I made for the room ♥️

We design kids’ rooms to feel playful, considered, and able to grow with them. Not a themed room they’ll outgrow in two years, but a space with good bones, soft edges, and enough personality to feel like theirs.

This comes up in almost every family project we take on, so we’re getting into all of it: color and pattern, storage, furniture, lighting, what we think is worth spending on, and what we try not to overthink.

Save this one for when you start planning, and send it to the person you’re doing it with.
