The equivalent of the Benjamin Moore paint chip in landscape world. We give you “the grass lab” complete with drip irrigation mockup. Can’t see any irrigation? That’s the whole idea. All of our drip installations are completely buried and we keep them that way. @netafim_usa @hunterindustries #landscape #landscapearchitecture #irrigation #drip #nhseacoast

Inline Drip Installed Wrong — One Lateral Feed = Wasted Water

Inline drip only works when it’s designed right.
In this video, I break down a zone where the installer gave the entire system one single lateral flow to feed all the drip lines. That means the water has to travel through every tube before the zone can even pressurize.

Here’s the problem:
When you only feed inline drip from one side, the water takes forever to reach the end of the line. The first few feet get soaked, the rest barely get anything, and the controller has to run way longer just to compensate. That’s wasted water, wasted time, and stressed plants.

A proper inline drip layout needs:

• Multiple feed points
• Balanced flow across the zone
• Even pressurization
• Consistent moisture throughout the bed

When you design it right, the zone pressurizes fast, waters evenly, and saves water.
When you feed it from one side, the system struggles every single cycle.

In the video, I show exactly why this setup fails and how a correct layout makes all the difference.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting some growers as well as a Netafim rep from Argentina as they learned about drip irrigation in West Texas. Special thanks to one of our local growers for speaking to them and letting them tour his farm.
