These highschoolers would have no problem making whatever wide open layup I decided to throw at them.

So in order the challenge them we add the med ball. Whether it’s a med ball squeeze or a self toss and catch the point remains the same.

I’m challenging them beyond the basics and yes, I’m trying to make them miss.

Accountability will help you stay solid in all areas of your game. Even finishing. Use it properly and you’ll notice a difference in the quality of reps.

Learn how to stop in multiple ways and you’ll be that much harder to guard. Which one do you use the most?

Keep your feet under your hips when you’re sprinting and extend them out in front of your hips and shoulders when stopping. While you’re learning, the further the better. It might seem obvious but doing this is much more difficult than simply understanding it.

Learning to manipulate the ball is a valuable skill! Use it to improve your ball security ability to get to get to your spots.

Real skill is more than correct technique. It’s knowing when to use it and how to adjust when the defense reacts. Train with a plan and play with a plan, but learn to adjust when the defense takes your plan away. If your skill can change with the game, your skill is real.
