Life is a beautiful journey where each person you meet can set off a domino effect that ripples not for minutes or hours but for years, even decades. We work hard so that one “yes” leads to another which leads to another. People have walked into my life and have said “yes, we’ll take a chance on you,” and that’s ultimately made all the difference. Grateful, humbled and quite frankly shocked every time I sit down and reflect on this.

As some of you may know, our agency, @networkgray, has been helping with Al-Basha's digital marketing efforts for nearly two years now. And in those two years, we also worked closely with the family to design their new location on Crooks Ave. Our recommendations were ambitious but so was their vision.

A lot of times, as creatives / agency folks, we forget that it’s not about us. It’s truly about bringing someone else’s vision to life and their vision goes well beyond these walls. I’d expect nothing less from the Palestinian family that first invested into Paterson 23+ years ago when it was next to nothing. There’s a lot left to do but I hope we succeeded here in doing exactly what we said we would.

I am beyond proud and honored to be on this journey with a team that’s moved with such humility and selflessness. It just makes moments like this that much sweeter.

@eatalbasha on Crooks opens today with the first day’s reservations already sold out, Alhamdulilah. Seating will continue to be limited for now but please hit the link in their bio and support Paterson’s Original Middle Eastern restaurant.
