POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2000, Rockstar Games asked me to shoot staged street racing clips for their “Midnight Club” web promos. At the time, I was interning at Autobuzz, one of the first online car culture magazines. Rockstar needed our help finding sponsors for the game and providing car racing content.

They never used the footage, but it led to something much bigger.

One of Rockstar’s founders, Jamie King, liked the clips so much that he asked if I could show him the real street racing scene around DC. My answer? “Hell yeah.”

Jamie came down with a film crew and a couple of editors from Stuff magazine to document the weekend, hang out with us, and experience the underground car scene firsthand.
A couple of weeks later, he called again. This time, he wanted my yellow Mazda MX6 on the cover of the game.

Of course, I said “hell yeah,” and the rest is history.

Celebrating 31 years of ownership of my 1993 MX-6 LS. Thursday will be the first time I’ve driven my Mazda in 20 years. I’m driving it straight to @hyperfest at VIR.

Special thanks to @wopath @jason_conklin @immaculatedetailing for making my dreams come true!

I had a fun little trip up to CT/RI last week and took over the @revivalmotoring podcast with @r411ye and @corey.si 🎧
.
I got to share some stories about me and friends and cars and jobs and all sorts of stuff. Well worth the 800+ mile round trip.
.
Before the show we got some great pizza at @jeffspizzari , and after the show we got some terrible pizza at Sakis in downtown Providence… they don’t get the IG mention, lol.
.
Grabbed a hotel with Scott so we didn’t have to drive home after midnight (ideal hotel buddy… thermostat on 62, byo fan, 👌) and the next morning we grabbed breakfast with @tobiastrousers at @julianspvd … killer Chicken & Waffles 🤌
.
Anytime you guys wanna come down to Baltimore, hit me up! I’ll make myself available. ❤️
