Venezia è la stella più grande, la grande meraviglia, la capitale della bellezza. Con le sue calli, i suoi rii, i suoi sotoporteghi è, come la definiva Thomas Mann, la città più inverosimile del mondo.

Venice is the biggest star, the great wonder, the capital of beauty.

Creating unforgettable memories.

The Redentore (Redeemer Feast - 16th July 2022) is absolutely one of the most felt event by the Venetians. A tradition that goes back to 1577 when, at the end of the terrible plague that struck the city, the citizens commissioned the architect Andrea Palladio to build the church of the Redeemer on the island of Giudecca.

Every year, in these days, a "votive bridge", 330 meters long and floating on boats, is built to connect Venice to the church of the Redeemer on Giudecca island.

The Redeemer party, which has become an attraction for thousands of tourists, allows you to enjoy the most authentic and religious side of Venice, but also the most fashionable one consisting of boats and rooftops parties and spectacular fireworks over the Venetian lagoon.

Tonight, starting at 11.30pm in Bacino San Marco.

📸 Thank you @neumarc for the breathtaking picture!

Repost from @magazzino ! “We are excited to welcome guests back to the museum's central courtyard this Friday, June 17, to enjoy "Melissa McGill: Red Regatta" by Venetian filmmaker Giovanni Pellegrini, which follows the artist's independent public art project, 'Red Regatta.' This project, realized in 2019, was in collaboration with Associazione Vela al Terzo Venezia and co-organized by Magazzino Italian Art curated by Chiara Spangaro with project manager Marcella Ferrari and support from Mazzoleni.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with the artist Melissa McGill and Magazzino's Curatorial and Programming Assistant, Chiara Mannarino.
In conjunction with the film screening, there will be a book launch of the 200-page volume, "Red Regatta," featuring scholarly contributions and sailor testimonies focusing on their personal Venetian family legacy, love for their city, and hope for the future. Published by Marsilio and designed by Beatriz Cifuentes of New York studio Waterhouse Cifuentes Design, the book includes 250 color photographs, and features McGill's personal reflections on the project.
This event is sold out, but we would love to see you over the weekend for our other feature films- check out our bio for more info.”
