I have three more hours of listening to this incredible book on Audible. BUT I cannot resist sharing and encouraging everyone I know to get this immediately. It will help you understand various perspectives, reactions, actions, and help so many nurture our babies and heal themselves.

Tremendous work by Bruce Perry Md, PhD and Oprah Winfrey. The book is a conversation between them- which is my favorite format for this kind of information.

In this episode we’re going to hear some stories and reflect on what is possible. My guest has been involved with bringing incarcerated fathers and their children together through education, specifically reading and she will share those inspiring stories with us.

This episode's guest is Deborah McNelis. Deborah is the author of The First 60 Days & The Neuro-Nurturing® Interaction Packets Series. She is also the founder of Brain Insights, an International Speaker • Initiator of The First 60 Days Movement uniting all those that are making a difference. She has been on The Fatherhood Challenge before to talk about brain development and nurturing in babies and how fathers play a critical role in this process. Say yes as often as you can while sticking to limits. Eg. When I ask for ice cream instead of saying ‘ not now’ , try Yes, after dinner.

The Brain 🧠 insight . The caring areas in my brain are used more when you respond to me in positive ways. This allows these areas to be more active than the fear and anger areas of my brain!

Remember your importance in building and developing a child’s brain in the first few years! 🙌
