I wouldn’t be the player I am today without the coaches who have always pushed me to be here, and I am so grateful for @vicki_corn and Les for putting in the countless hours to pour into each of us. I know it has been hard, but we always have and always will be les’s girls and I know he has been with us all season from start to finish making jokes and playing his tiny violin every time we complained about something. Ya’ll will forever be so special to me, and I am so glad I was able to spend the last 10 years with the best coaches out there!
Love you mean it!

🏆 THE COLTS ARE HEADED BACK TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆

West Stanly is headed back to the biggest stage in North Carolina softball after defeating Foard 5-2 to capture the 4A West Regional Championship! The Colts continue one of the most dominant runs in NCHSAA softball history and will now battle Southwestern Randolph for the 4A State Championship.

⭐️ Katie Broadway powered the offense with 2 HOME RUNS and 4 RBIs in the regional-clinching victory.

Championship tradition runs deep in Oakboro. Over the last five completed softball seasons, West Stanly has captured FOUR NCHSAA State Championships (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023) and now has a chance to add another trophy to the collection.

🧠 Stop Overthinking, Start Attacking! 💪🏽
As a hitting coach, I see too many hitters paralyzed by indecision. They are in the box counting balls and strikes, trying to guess pitches, overthinking balls, and streaks and complicating the simple focus: prepare for the ball coming and attack it‼️
Here’s the simple truth that dramatically boosts production and eliminates indecisiveness:

➡️ COMMIT to being on time and in a powerful position to attack everything within your hitting zone, which includes borderline pitches up/down over/around the plate.
When you simplify your focus to timing, positioning and effort, you stop playing the guessing game and start attacking OUT IN FRONT!

* You’ll be more relaxed yet more aggressive.
* Your timing will improve because you’re preparing for every pitch, every time.
* Your production will soar because you’re swinging with conviction at hittable pitches instead of taking we swing or taking the good ones because you hesitated.
Forget the count for a second—your job is to be ready to hit. Get ready early, anticipate and let it rip! 💥
