THE BLOCK IS DONE!
9 days out from another crack at a sub 2:20 @nycmarathon and this has easily been the biggest block I’ve ever done.

Post Boston earlier this year I took some time off, built into GC half before we started 16 weeks for this race.

The focus for this block with coach @mattyabel was to get the mileage way up and race more while finishing off football season and keeping the body in check. ✅

Managed over a run a day and over 17k per day in between work so proud of that discipline and consistency more than anything.

No matter how raceday goes I’m excited to put the work to the test! LFG

Melbourne Half Marathon Weekend!

So much fun getting out there and racing again. Huge breakthrough for me on a tough day and stoked to go from 10th in the full last year to 5th in the half. Thanks for all the support out on course it was unreal.

So awesome to also get to host a live pod on the Friday night with @tempojournal and @neverrunalone so thanks to all the people that came along.

Less than 3 weeks until New York and I cannot wait to be on the start line.

Had a great morning racing the @melbmara half this morning as the last tune up before @nycmarathon in 3 weeks.

Really proud of how I’m racing at the moment and the hard work is showing off.

Definitely spurred on by watching the goat @kipchogeeliud win the marathon just before heading out to race.

@cam__merrick from @neverrunalone finishes incredibly strong in the back end of today’s half marathon. Promising signs ahead of New York Mara!

Running has connected me with so many incredibly inspiring, empowering and incredible women 💌

We found each other because of running but it’s our never ending support and love for each other that will keep us together.

This is your reminder to send that text, go to that runclub, make that coffee plan, because you never know it might just be the best decision you ever made ✨

Pretty surreal stuff.

I started running properly less than 3 years ago and started doing a running podcast (@neverrunalone) with mates in May last year. Many crazy experiences since but being able to join the media call with @kipchogeeliud prior to him coming to @melbmara this year was pretty special. Can’t wait to be down there and watch him run the same race I set my 2:21 PB last year. How good is running!
