LES MODS — NEXT SATURDAY | A CORUÑA @corunarteaberta

Next Saturday, as part of Coruña Arte Aberta a contemporary art festival, I’ll be launching my photographic exhibition “Les Mods” at Umagumma Bar in A Coruña, with the opening at 21:00 h. @ummagummacoruna

📸 24 photographs exploring Mod culture through the iconic Scooter Runs in Brighton, one of the key places of reference for this subculture.

For several years, I have travelled to Brighton in the south of the UK to attend the Brighton Mod Weekender. This exhibition brings together photographs from the latest editions, 2025 and 2026.

Scooter culture is a fundamental part of the Mod spirit.

Through my work, I capture that essence where scooters, fashion, speed, music and a sense of belonging come together to create a unique collective identity.

More than documenting an event, Les Mods portrays a way of life: the energy of the streets, the aesthetics, the camaraderie and that feeling of freedom that continues to keep the Mod soul alive across generations.

Les Mods is photographed in colour because colour is part of that identity. The colours of the scooters, clothing, details, streets and Brighton’s unique light create an aesthetic that would be difficult to convey in the same way in black and white. Colour allows me to capture not only the image, but also the energy, intensity and vitality of a scene that is still alive and will be for a long time to come.
