🇬🇧 We naturally used the golf-free day of our Aberdeenshire trip with @golfinscotland.de for a round at @newburghlinks.
Founded in 1888, the golf club is divided into two loops of nine holes and offers stunning views of the Ythan Estuary, the Forvie Sand Dunes, Newburgh Beach and the North Sea.
The first nine holes were designed in 1994 and feature raised greens surrounded by a gently undulating landscape. The second nine are true links classics: wild and natural, with blind tee shots, hilly fairways and challenging bunkers.

NextGen Junior Golf 9-Hole Summer Series – Newburgh Golf Club

BROCHERS BACK WITH A BANG 💥⛳️

What a fantastic day to open the NextGen season of junior golf! A superb turnout and an excellent standard of play which has set the tone for the season ahead.

🥇 Double delight for @fraserburghgolf as Teddy ‘The Terminator’ Taylor (nickname given by fellow competitors) and Christian Ritchie won the gross and nett sections respectively. It was particularly encouraging to welcome our first girl competitors to our 9-hole Summer Series. Beatrix Campbell (Kippie Lodge) took the prize for lowest girl.

Thanks to Newburgh Golf Club for hosting once again, the course was in great condition and the juniors were delighted to be back!

Next up: Kippie Lodge on Sunday 10 May.

On Sunday I spotted a last-minute tee time at @newburghlinks ⛳️ ☀️ and decided to just go for it. It’s only around 15 minutes from me, but I hadn’t played there in years, so I really didn’t know what to expect. The rumours that the greens were amazing was something too good not to see for myself.

Safe to say, I came away genuinely grateful. The setting is stunning, the course looked brilliant, and the greens were in superb condition for this time of year in Scotland. The gold wasn’t too shabby considering the 💨 and low sun in your eyes 😎

One of those simple, unplanned rounds that reminds you how lucky we are to have places like this so close to home 🙏

The @ogvtaproomnewburgh Tap Truck wasn’t open when I was there, but I could easily see that being a huge hit by the 9th green, whether mid-round or after 18. Huge kudos to the team for making the venue and course what it is.

Really glad I made the time for it and really appreciative to have a course like this so close by…..I’ll definitely be back 🏌️‍♂️

9 hole stroke play @newburghlinks today. Lovely morning, the greens were rolling superb, quick and firm great to putt on. Which helped with my -4 score 😁 games feeling really good. Just in time for me heading back to work 🤯. Forward tees but no mats and great greens, well worth heading over for a game. #scottishgolf #newburghlinks #upsidedoonhands #titleist
