Happy 🌍 🚴Day! I never expected how much I would fall in love with bikes when I got my first “real” road bike 7 years ago. Since then, I’ve gotten some amazing opportunities to ride in some incredible places, meet some amazing people that have become lifelong friends, and pushed myself farther than I’ve ever thought possible. Even through all the intervals and suffering, it still keeps me coming back for more. Cheers to bikes, and to all of you who I’ve met because of bikes 🍻 Here’s to many more smiles and miles. (I could have spent a work week going through pics … this is the best I could do in 10 minutes 😈… Shoutout to @jonbonstenning for taking like 60% of these pics)

Echo Lake Trail Update! We had at least 13 volunteers on site today clearing brush, raking trails and shaping features along the hillside that will be black and blue trails in the future. There’s some great rollers and jumps throughout that look like they will be crazy fun. Big thanks to @qcnemba for the use of their brush cutter and @sinuosity_flowing_trails for their vision! We are getting there, it’s happening! #mtb #nemba #newengland #rhodeislandlife #rhodeisland

What a day! The Woody Hill Fun Ride was massive success! We cannot thank you all enough for showing up in full force and selling out this event. Because of all of your registrations and donations, we were able to raise well over $4000 for trail development in RI! Also a huge shoutout to the countless volunteers that helped to keep everything running as smooth as can be. This wouldn’t be possible without your help, and we cannot thank you enough for your continued support. And last but not least, thank you to all of the vendors and sponsors who showed up to showcase some awesome products and info to get everyone even more stoked about bikes! @nemba_mtb @stedmansbikeshop @strattonresort @pivotcycles @shimanomtb Keep an eye out on the RINEMBA social media channels, and the website calendar, for upcoming events like this. Today we hosted our Spring Mountain Bike Social with a early ride at Big River and meeting at Crafted Hope Brewery — huge thanks to everyone who came out! We asked members what they want to see in the future of RINEMBA and shared what we’ve accomplished so far this year:    •   Multiple group ride opportunities, as well as an amazing Arcadia cleanup with the Rhody Rovers and a stellar XC race put on by Maida Talancy in partnership with NE Youth Cycling!    •   Road improvements completed at Lincoln Woods    •   And a HUGE win: $150,000 awarded for new mountain bike trails at Echo Lake, thanks to our partnership with RIDEM! Now more than ever, we need donations and volunteers to keep the momentum going. Check out RINEMBA.org for our calendar of events, and help support the trails by donating- DONATE link in Bio. Let’s keep building an even stronger MTB community! @bike_rhode_island @craftedhopebrewing @nemba_mtb @rhody_bicyclists @rhodybikes @rhodeisland.dem

Wow—what a race at Ryan Park today! We had 124 racers tearing it up in the Novice (5 miles), Sport (9 miles), and Expert (15 miles) categories. Riders came from all over the region to compete, with strong representation from New England Youth Cycling (NEYC)—including teams like the Big Ringers, Burlingame Badgers, and Swamp Yankees. It was awesome to see Kelly from NEYC on-site, cheering riders on! But the most impressive part? This entire race was a senior project—planned, organized, and executed by Maida Talancey, a member of the Big Ringers. Maida pulled together 25+ volunteers—family, friends, and RINEMBA members—to make this event run smoothly from setup to breakdown. It was the first XC mountain bike race at Ryan Park in years, and we hope it’s just the beginning of more to come. Huge thanks to Maida, the Talancey family, NEYC, RINEMBA, our dedicated volunteers, the Burlingame Badgers, and the Big Ringers for making it happen! @mmtalancy @nemba_mtb

We are overjoyed by the outpouring of support and community that was displayed at today’s RINEMBA meeting!!! We had great pizza from Supreme and craft beer and non alcoholic beverages from @craftedhopebrewing who hosted our group of over 40 riders and families. We left with new friends, full bellies, signed up new members and ride leaders. President Dennis Wilson gave a presentation on the achievements from this year and future plans, and we heard from several collaborators about their contributions to RINEMBA, including Mike Petrarca, Willem Cooper, Charles Picard, Meida Talancey and Tabitha Wilson. ——————- Elections were held, with the leadership team consisting of: Dennis Wilson- President Charles Picard- Vice President Shannon Lonardo - Treasurer Tabitha Wilson - Secretary Wayne Asselin- BOD appointee ————- RINEMBA hopes to continue this format of larger more inclusive meetings on a quarterly schedule. If you missed out on today, stay tuned for our next event by checking in on our Calendar at www.RINEMBA.org 🚵🏻‍♂️🚵🏽‍♀️
