Some great discussions from our second #globalsmalltalks. When asked what would @stephanie_edwards_urbansym change? Engagement is not a tick box. @waremartyn said we need new thinking now. Thanks to @satwindersamra for hosting.

Three years ago, Khadija Saye @saye_photo, a young Gambian-British artist tragically lost her life in the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017, aged just 24. Today we celebrate the opening of public art project, Breath is Invisible, which runs from 7 July to 9 Oct 2020, in Notting Hill. The inaugural exhibition is an installation of works by this courageous artist who said of the featured works, “The series was created from a personal need for spiritual grounding after experiencing trauma. The search for what gives meaning to our lives and what we hold onto in times of despair and life changing challenges”.
.
Later in the summer @waremartyn, Zachary Eastwood-Bloom and Joy Gregory will present new commissions that have been created in partnership with the local community.
.
This courage and creativity makes us proud to be part of and have access to the thriving cultural talent that exists in London and the around the UK as represented by these artists. The Breath is Invisible initiative was born out of an urgency to address issues of social inequality and injustice, founded by @eieshabp and curated by @sigridakirk. Congratulations to all those involved. If you are able to make the journey, please go and visit.
