Do best parts exist? Do pigs count when in the crack? Am I a donut? Bourdain was right-food. It's a reroll for me dawg. Lollies with Boy-yos! Just a couple of haikus about a life changing trip to Japan with some amazing people this past winter.

Yesterday my brother Tony married Allison, the love of his life! Their wedding was truly a magical experience and one I will never forget, as I served as their officiant. A myriad of beautiful memories now play in my mind of the ceremony. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I hear the music that was played as each person walked down the aisle. There’s the hug my brother’s shared, and the flower crown slightly eschew on my daughter’s head as she sat beside my son with his massive smile. I see the bride and groom mesmerized by each other, and the comfort that holding hands gave them. Words of commitment and love flit across my mind. And I remember the tears of joy, the catch in their throats, as they pledged their lives to each other. I know it is a day they will carry with them for the rest of their lives and so will I. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tony, you will always be my little brother. I will always love, protect, and admire you. And I know I can always count on you to do the same. Watching you grow up to become the man you are today has been a privilege and I’m so grateful you are my brother. I’m also so unbelievably happy that you found Allison, and through persistence and time, you became friends, and then so much more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Allison, I’m so happy you are now a part of my family! Tony has always had an immense zest for life and you match his enthusiasm and spirit. I love how competitive and yet supportive you are with each other. It doesn’t matter if you are off on a wild adventure or just hanging on the couch, you love and adore each other, it’s plain to see. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Congratulations Allison & Tony! Your wedding was a beautiful and festive event, and one that I hope you look back on fondly for many many years to come. Keep choosing each other. Stay patient and young at heart. And know that you are so deeply loved by your friends and family! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Love you both so much, Heidi

- New to the Blog - . Back in 2021I flew out to Utah to photograph my brother Tony and his fiancé Allison. It was such a treat as I don’t get to see them often and it was the first time being kid free since the pandemic began. I also was expecting and was finally at the stage in my pregnancy where I didn’t feel nauseous every second of the day. Needless to say, I really soaked in the moment and relished my time there. . We drove to Moab for the weekend and explored the surrounding area. In addition to taking engagement photos we did some hiking, enjoyed the local restaurants, and binge watched Survivor and played board games during the heat of midday. My husband’s brother and his wife just happened to be visiting Moab that weekend too, so we all got together and hung out. It was fabulous especially after months of not seeing anyone in person. . For the engagement session we broke it into two parts. We did an early morning session in a part of Arches National Park where we could get to some of the magnificent naturally formed arches easily. The second part took place at sunset overlooking the canyons of Dead Horse State Park. Both locations were amazing and I truly hope I get to visit those places again. . Tony & Allison, thank you so much for being fantastic hosts! I enjoyed every minute of our time together and can not wait to celebrate with you on your wedding day! Here’s to a spectacular wedding and a lifetime of wedded bliss! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Much love, Heidi —————————————————— To see more of their engagement photos visit my blog via the link in my profile! —————————————————— #archesnationalpark #utahengagement #thefindlab #arches #moab #moabengagementsession #utah

A very Cleveland Christmas! Merriest of Christmas from our family to yours. This time of year reminds me of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family (miss you mom, dad and Maura🥰). This is the last holiday before the wedding. I feel now more than ever that hit the jackpot marrying into the Kotchman family. My heart is full!

This day next year, my brother Tony and his fiancé Allison will be tying the knot! I’m so excited for them, and for myself as well. Besides gaining a new sister-in-law, I will be taking on a new role on their wedding day. Instead of photographing, I’m going to be officiating their wedding ceremony!!! . Initially, when they asked me I was unsure if I would be a good person for this very important job. For one I don’t have a lot of experience speaking in front of large groups of people. But after giving a toast at my best friend Debbie’s wedding last summer I felt empowered. And I have never officiated, but I have been to hundreds of weddings and have witnessed so many unique and thoughtful ceremonies. I know that with some research, I will be able to craft and deliver a ceremony that suits Tony and Allison and the love that they share. . I know there are some pretty cool books, and other resources, out there on this topic that I would like to utilize. If you can point me in the right direction or have any advise, please comment below or shoot me a DM. Any help would be very much appreciated! . Thank you all! And let’s send these two some love! ———————————————————————— I took these photos of Tony & Allison last summer while visiting them in Utah. We spent the weekend exploring Moab, one of their favorite places. There was a lot of waking before dawn, hiking mountains, and chasing sunsets type of action. But we also took it easy during the hot afternoons by watching reruns of Survivor and playing board games. All in all it was a super fun time and I can’t wait to go back there again! ———————————————————————— #contax645 #orlandoengagementphotographer #thefindlab #floridafilmphotographer #moab
