POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

POV: Spending Juneteenth in D.C. celebrating Black innovation, HBCU excellence, and systemic change. 🥂✨

Last year I was asked to be featured in a groundbreaking new docu-series highlighting four tech founders demonstrating the raw innovation that has always lived within the Black community, specifically through the lens of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

As a proud graduate of @texassouthern I know firsthand what it feels like to have your degree quietly counted against you because it doesn’t say Harvard or Yale as a startup tech founder.

But let’s be crystal clear: It’s never been a lack of talent coming out of HBCUs. It is a lack of access. 📢

We are sitting here in 2026, and less than 2% of venture capital goes to Black women and founders of color. To date, I’ve raised over $2 Million in venture capital for Enrichly but I shouldn’t be the exception to the rule and it shouldn’t be this difficult.

This project is incredibly near and dear to my heart, and I am so deeply grateful to Emmy and NAACP Award-winners @soledadobrien and Director @lagueriadavis for using their masterful storytelling to bring much-needed light to this conversation.

A massive shoutout to my incredible investors at @nexcubed and @hbcufi alongside everyone who poured their heart into making this project and yesterday’s event a reality during the Better Futures Summit.

I’m always working on something behind the scenes, but this one? This one is special. 🕊️✨

📺 Stay tuned for more updates on where this docu-series will be airing and how you can watch!
