2025 RECITAL SEASON RECAP!
This year I did not think I would be attending as many recitals as I did last year when I attended 17. But I saw 25 this year! Dance AND vocal recitals! Toddlers to adults!

To the graduating class of 2025, this send off was a bit more bittersweet for me because some of you I’ve been watching perform for several years (a select few since 2018!) I will really miss seeing you guys. And remember…just because you’re a grad now you don’t have to stop performing for fun if you don’t want to!

🎉 RECITAL WEEKEND #6 RECAP! 🎉 I unfortunately didn’t take many photos this week but here are the recitals I want to. Some of those studios I know teachers at! In addition to the ones shown here I also attended Flower City Dance’s debut recital! I’ve gone to 21 recitals so far and have one more weekend to go! Fabulous job to all dancers and singers! 👏 #recitalszn

Make sure to check out S2 E3 - Always a Dancer and Now a Doctor of Physical Therapy of @thedanceup podcast, link in the bio!

In this episode @carleyyswanson joins @dlsheather and I to discuss the pursuit of a Doctor of Physical Therapy under the 3+3 curricular model and how a supportive environment in dance growing up allowed for discovery and hobbies outside the studio. We discuss how dance can live holistically in one’s body and life and how we can decide how it best fits in our wolds. In addition, we dive into identifying what we don’t know as a positive means for caring for the dancer so that appropriate referrals can occur as well as the necessity to find health practitioners who are well versed in movement practices.

Musical contributions by @tamawhat, Graphic Design by Dr. Kelsey Elliot.

Part 2 because I can’t fit everything in one post! This year I have attended 19 dance, music and theatre recitals over the course of a little over a month. I couldn’t post about all the recitals I went to because I don’t have pictures from them but the performers were all seriously amazing! #recitalszn
